Default 02 660r carb problem

I bought my 02 raptor 660r about 16 months ago.. When I bought it, The atv ran great but leaked fuel out of the left overflow tube. I took it to the dealer for a complete tune up, and to fix the carb.. They replaced the needle and seat, both sides..

Last week I pulled it out of the garage and started it up with no problems.. It ran for about 3 min then died.. I checked to see if it ran out of gas, and it was a little low.. I bought some new gas.. Cleaned the plug.. drained the float bowl on the left,, Nothing came out on the right.. I started it up, and it idles good.. But when I rev it up... It backfires, and sorta dies out.. Let off the gas.. it's ok... I tried riding it, and that was a joke... Felt like I was riding a bull...lol... I have let it run for awhile and it's getting better, but now the left side overflow is leaking gas.. Same problem I had fixed last year...

A few questions???

1) when I open the right side overflow.. No gas comes out at all.. Is this normal?? I checked to see if any dirt was blocking, but it's all clear...

2) Anybody have any simple ideas I can try b4 I have to tear it apart?? Any ideas?? I cant afford to pay the dealer again..

3) Anybody have a manual for taking carb out of atv?? Step by step.. So I can make this as painless as possible...

Thanks for your help.. Any ideas welcome..

Should be getting gas out of the right over flow. The needle must be stuck in the seat closed.

Backfiring thru the intake is a lean condition. Probably cause there is no gas in the right carb.

On the left carb, the float is probably not adjusted right, or there is debris in the needle and seat.

You can pull the fuel line off where it hooks on the tank. Open both bowl drains if you can. If not, run the motor till the fuel in the carbs is used up.

Blow compressed air into the fuel line that leads to the carbs. This could free up the stuck needle and will also clear debris out of the seats.

Get some carb cleaner, spray it into the fuel line until it won't take any more. Keep the fuel line propped up so the carb cleaner doesnt drain out. Let is soak for a couple hours.

Make sure you have good clean gas in the tank. I would drain it completely and put fresh fuel in. Put a hose on the tank nipple, set the **** to reserve, and let it drain into a gas can.

Re-attach the fuel line, put gas in and try it out.

If it didn't work, try it again and let is soak longer. If you are not getting results, then you will probably need to pull the carbs. Its not too bad.

A quick fix is to replace the stock setup with a Edelbrock single carb setup!
