Default Raptor 660 must read and help

Okay guys, This is what I got for you today. I bought a raptor 660 today and it dose not run. This is what the guy I bought it off told me. The owner befor me said this raptor ran great but it was to load. This raptor has the white brothers exhaust on it. The guy put a plate over the muffler to make it quit he said. Just so we are clear he blocked off the exhaust so no exhaust could come out, this guy said he rode it for a few min and turn it off. The guy than tried to start it again and he said it made a bad noise and it would not sart again.

After I got the bike home I removed the plate he put on the exhaust and tried to start it so I could hear for my self. It maks a noise alright and would not start. I spryed starting fluid in it and it came alive but would not run on its own. I could not hear the nosie while it was running but heard it after it started to die out and while I was trying to start it.

What do you think happen and where do I start. It is a 2001 with a 2003 transmission or so he said. The bike is in great shape a looks like its worth saveing please help.

I must say i enjoyed all the different smily faces, made reading a little more enjoy able.
1.well to start you are going to have to be more spicific in describing the "noise".

2.do you know if its been jetted at all?

3. has it sat for a while?

Well its like a hard tig tig tig sound and it wont start in less you use starting fluid . It only runs on the starting fluid. It sounds up high but not sure its hard to place. You hear it pretty good when you try to start it and when it dies.

The guy said he rode it till it broke so I dont think it was sitting around.
The bike has a K&N filter so it might be jetted not sure. I dont want to tear into it till I get info from you guys.

Okay guys, I took the the stator cover off to see if everything looks okay and I guess it dose. My question is the big gear in there should it turn clock wise or what? If I turn it counter clock wise I can feel the compression in the motor, I almost cant turn it by hand when I turn it counter clock wise. I can spin the gear clock wise with no trouble, is this normal?
