Default Paint to use on heated metal?

Hey Y'all,

Im in the process of taking everything off my ATV and cleaning it. I have a section on the muffler that is fairly rusty. I plan on hitting it with some sand paper and some rust stopping solution.

Could I safely paint the muffler to help keep corrosion away?

I was thinking about using some of the paint that is safe to use on grills.

Your on it. Just use stove or BBQ paint and it will look great.

Ok Thanks.

I picked up some Rustoleum spray paint today that is rated up to 2000 degrees.

Going to be a busy weekend but the ATV should look really sharp whenever I finish.

I bought some ceramic coating exhaust paint at Auto Zone and sprayed the used pipe I bought for the wifes trail blazer. Looks pretty good off the bike.

And one of these days, I'll actually put it on and see how well it holds up.
