Cool 450 kodiak

Can someone please help me. On the front u-joint greaser it is tight. I have tried to use a grease needle but still can't get grease in. Is there another way ? Plus one more thing when I put it in park the light won't come on unless I wiggle the shifter or the atv forward and back were is the sending unit?

THANKS

Welcome to the Forum!

For the front u-joint you need a 90-degree grease tip. They cost like $10 but well worth it!!

In regards to the park light. The sending unit is just above where the shift rod enters the engine/transmission. I have to rock mine to get it into park and even rock it to get it into Low gear. The rod is pretty easy to adjust I have mine adjusted to where I am used to using it. Do a search on the forum and you will fine the Shifting issue addressed.

ALSO -- I do have the service manual for 03-06 Kodiak 450's so if you want a copy PM me your email address.

Thanks for the reply I do have a manual. But to re&re the tipple you can't get a small socket in. Do I need to drop the drive shaft?

Thanks Terry coolnighttrain
