ok i bought this 03 warrior used about 4 years ago and for the last 3 years it has not been charging on its own i bought the CLYMER warrior book nothing ive changed the cilinoyd twice and the computer once, so im hoping its not the genrater cuz thats like $200 and i dont what to take it to my local dealer so plz give me some tips on what it mite be or is.my email is Redneck5829@hotmail.com

 

sorry to say this, but it really sounds like the generator went out on you, its not often, but things like that go bad, its an alternator for a atv, and just like an alternator in a car, these things go out. So really all you can do is keep charging up the battery till you can afford to replace it

 

i was so hoping it was not that but i guess it will have to a back seat to my other atv stuff thanks for the help

 

this is hit or miss, but you might be able to find one being parted out that still has a good generator on it? maybe one on ebay or something

 

i think i mite know where one is but if not i look one ebay

 

ebay looks the expensive route, but you never know when you'll come accross someone parting one out and selling the parts for cheap, craigslist is another option, thats where i found my 03 yamaha warrior....

 

i found one on ebay for 79 bucks

 

You can test stator before replacing it! see if three yellow or three white wires run to ground or one or more wires are open, You could have an voltage reg/recfi. bad also or bad wire from voltage reg/recf to batt not letting charging volts to batt.
