general piston question
#1
I am putting a warrior 350 head on a kodiak 400 bottom end with a kodiak 400 crank. I had a warrior 350 rod pressed on the crank by accident but if I grind a little off of the piston near the king pin it works fine and wouldn't require a spacer because of the extra stroke. I tried it on a spare warrior 350 piston and removed the skirts just because the piston was no good anyway. I plan on buying a new piston and grinding it off more precisely next time as well as leaving the skirts in place. Included are pictures of the sample piston I made. My question is whether or not the piston will hold up. Any help will be appreciated.
