Well I'm 70% sure that the ring and pinion is out in this. (I haven't taken it apart yet) So assuming it is out, what can I do to fix it with out putting more money in it than its worth?

I can search salvage yards, Ebay and ect for used but most likely those parts will be worn and have very little life left, And you simply just don't know what you are buying.

Is it somewhat possible that I could modify something from a bigger unite to install on it?

Or what suggestions do you have that I can bring this thing back alive reasonable?

I researched the VIN# and I'm pretty sure its a 1987 model.
