blaster basket case...

Default blaster basket case...

a friends son (his dad been in icu 2 months from harly-cide)asked me to help him with a lil blaster 200 some body gave him,..im very mechanical but only on my 2nd year in quad land,...the ol quad dont seem to bad a shape,..not bent,bushings are good,..but came in 3 big boxes of parts,..pulled head an jug/cylinder an piston is 50 over,how much can jug be bored?? it got some groves in it guessing 10-15 thousandths,great machinist we're friends with close by but his knowledge is in late model stock stuff,...herd it can be bored 80 over an pistons available up to 80 to,is this true?? or should i be looking for better jug/piston?? also, trans an motor made together,dose crank an trans share oil or is crank lubed with 2cycle mix?? an wheres the vin numbers on these lil blasters??an tell me anything else blaster owners should know?? thanks for reading,an any thoughts,points,opinions an such!!

Mine's bored 60 over... so i know it can go that big at least.... I think I've heard of an 80 over boring too. Not sure though. a little research on available sizes would help out I guess.
crank case and clutch and all are sharing the oil in the cases.... The 2 stroke oil is only in the fuel mix or oil injection system.... The vin number should be on the frame right near the shift lever, lower outside of the frame.... roughly.

thanks for info,..tryed bikebandit but couldnt find blasters in there list...il surf some more when i get time!

We race these little machines and yes you can go .080 over but you do not want to unless its a must. You can get pistons in like 67 or 68mm and so forth. Good luck and if we can help please let us know.

Try Ronnies. Not sure what year you have, but I did a quick check and they do have them in the parts microfiche.

We have the Namura kits that go up to .080. You can find them here if interested Namura Technologies Inc. PISTON KITS FOR YAMAHA from Mainstreet Motorsports.

takin jug to machine shop tomarrow to see how far it need to go then my buddy gonna do his own shopping!! ill refer him your link!
