I'm glad you found my site usefull. I plan on upgrading it when I get time and some better pictures of my quad.
The reason that they put the serial number on the axle is to keep everyone honest. Without the serial number and sending in your warranty card (a must), then they would have no idea of who bought what and it would be hard to give such an all-inclusive warranty to everyone, even people who buy the axles used.

Hopefully you'll get it worked out. Either way, I'd call Lonestar and let them be aware of what Sunset is doing.
