I am 16 and planning on gettin a new quad(sport). I own a yamaha timberwolf but want to go bigger and better. I was wondering what i should buy. I'm thinkin i like raptors and 400ex's better but people tell me this may be jumpin to far up to soon. I think i would be happy w/400ex if i had reverse. but i just wonder what you all think.

If you jump you wanna jump as far as you can. You cant go wrong with either of these bike but you will be happier with the Raptor, alot more powerful!!

Look in to the qualities of both quad. Pick which suits your needs more. If it is to much power than dont nail it. :-) Take it easy and slowy learn how to handle it. I had a blaster 5 years ago and I bought a Raptor 3 weeks ago. I am still getting use to it but I have come a long way.

Ya i plan to take it slowly. I like the idea of reverse. Is the Honda more reliable than the yamaha or are they both about the same quality?

Raptor20's got it. If you're smart enough not to nail it until you feel comfortable, then anything will fit. The 400EX is underpowered (this is MY opinion)....as much as I'd like to have more power from my shee (I guess Tim Allen's got a hand on me).
Whatever machine you choose, it will be good, I guess. Changing from a Timberwolf to an actual sport quad will blow your eyes...for a month. Get the biggest, so you can't say after "i should have got bigger". I got a shee, and sometimes I say "I should have got a 500 Quadzilla".

i am leaning toward the raptor. I want the one that is the most fun. I do woods riding along trails w/whoops and little jumps, i like to climb hills, and anything else you can do. I want the best all over quad.
