2000 kodiak carb leaking gas

I take it that you have already tightend the screw if not then do that. If it is tight then the valve must be bad. I had my bowl off the other day changeing the main jet but never looked at the bowl drain valve. Hope you get it fixed.

I've recently discovered a hose leaking coming off the back of the carbuerator of my '96 Yamaha Kodiak 400. The hose looks like it popped loose from somewhere, but I can't find a place to plug it back in. The hose is connected to the back of the carb and is about 9 inches long. It has a white tip extending out of it (like it is suppose to plug in somewhere). Any hints?
Thanks,

These posts today on this subject is a reflection of what I see everyday.
It isn't a problem with Yamaha, but with the Mikuni carburetors.
This occurs waaaaaaaaay too often on Yamaha's and Suzuki's but you will be hard pressed to find hardly any Honda or Kawasaki with this problem.
Yamaha and Suzuki needs to wise up and go with a Keihin.....a helluva lot easier to tune as well.
