I bought a very clean 2000 Yamaha warrior (compared to what ive seen in my area) runs great except starting to show signs of starter clutch/one Way going out easy fix tho so I'm not to worried . It's pretty fast and I'm very comfortable with it I think I made a good choice and only paid 1,100 for it so it leaves me some Mod money left over. It has brand new tires all the way around very clean frame and plastics also has a full cobra exhaust and nerf bars . Just needS starter clutch an minor stuff that I will like to change but not a must just a personal perferance like smaller clutch lever. I plan on doing a Swiss cheese affect to the air box lid with a UNi filter, aluminum shift lever and anything else I read up on

Did you figure out it needs a new starter clutch because of a knocking sound after you turn it off? That's what my Warrior does, haven't gotten around to replacing it yet though.

No I just kept hearing this Weired knocking sound by the shift lever when trying to start it and one time I herd the starter free spin . I had a feeling something was wrong so did some research and all answer lead up to the one way I even called a local shop that deals atvs dirt bikes etc and as soon as I explained noise the gentle confirmed starter clutch it's a well known issue with warriors and raptors. I think that knock your talking about after motor shut off is normal because off the compression in the motor.

It could be, I hear it knock whenever I try to start it and it doesn't start on the first try.

Thumbs down You messed up.

A 2000 with issues. Gosh you should of went with the 400ex. They are around 1700 and like 2005s. Maybe you will make a wise decision next time. Just saying!

^^i don't know where you live but I'm in MD and I've searched for 2 weeks in md,dc,va,pa and wv and ALL 400ex are going for 2k plus the cheapest I saw was 1900 an that was a 2001. I think made a great choice the warrior runs fine it's a 2000 so I would expect to repair or replace some minor stuff other then the one way it's in excellent condintion no rust at all.

Default grizzly

id go with a 600 grizzly its got more than enough power and will go anywhere if you know what your doing but if its your first quad it might be a little to big so a honda trx350d or a trx400 foreman they would both be great starter bikes and have plenty of power. the grizzly would be great though as long as you give it a few weeks to get used to the power
