Default Yamaha blaster problems

I have an 05 blaster can't get it running right when I kick it it doesn't start unless I pin the throttle and when it does start its got no power. It won't move and the engine sounds like a normal idle speed when the throttle is pinned, any ideas on how to fix it or even what's wrong with it I can't figure it out

Pull the carb and intake boot it sits in and see if the reeds behind the intake are cracked or broken. If not take that carb apart and soak the pieces in gas overnight.

Not sure what compression loss would feel like but the kick start seems to be pretty firm if that makes a difference
