atv shock bad? how do you tell?
#1
seems like my atv is sitting lower then last year, the rear end looks to be sagging. the shock seems ok... it compresses and rebounds fine it just looks a lot lower.. like 2-3" lower probably.

sagging is not a problem, it's just a matter of setting the spring
stand behind your atv and push your atv down as low as it can get .it has to come slowly up ,thats means "good compression" .
if it comes up faster than normally or NOT EVEN COME UP than it's time for a new shock.

2-3" is a lot! My RZR is sagging about an inch lower than it was when I bought it, they have a problem with weak shock springs that need to be replaced when they sag, but the shocks are still good. I'm not sure if yours has the same problem or not.

The spring is not replaceable on the wolverine. I got a price from the dealer on one at almost 300 bucks so I think I will hold off and try and pickup a used one at some point when one becomes available. It's really not all that bad, it just seems to be sitting lower. I could also just be imagining it haha. I am going to try and rig up some kind of foam for the seat to get a bit more room between seat and pegs as I feel cramped on the atv.

I'll have to keep an eye out for a used one, I don't want to pay $300 on a rear shock for it. I just want to get this year out of it and if I use it as much as I think I will then I'm going to buy a new one this time next year.
