Default diy snorkel project anyone whose done have advice?

Im thinking about snorkeling my trike. Its an 84 225dx. After taking it deep in the mud this weekend, I realized that this things better in the mud than I thought. Ive gotten it under about 2.5 ft deep creek and she pulled thru no prob. So, ive never snorkeled an atv before but it seems pretty straight foward. My idea is where the airbox inlet it, get vaccum hose thats close to the same inner diameter, run it up the right side of my gas tank and use pvc or some metal tubing I have for arpund a 120 degree turndown. Then, on the end of my muffler, weld on some threads and a 90 so I can screw on extra exhaust pipe when the depth calls for it (sometimes she has trouble idling) and get some vinyl tubing to extend all carb breathers and overflows up towards the handlebars. Am I missing anything important? Ill post up some pics for anyone whose interested as I go along with this.

Good "how to" videos on you tube on how to do it from stuff bought at a hardware store.
