Default 450 kodiak solenoid

Does the solenoid have 2 fuses or is one of them spare? The starter button is not working. It will start if I jump the solenoid. Does this mean the solenoid is bad?

did you check the fuse? did you change it? i imagine it has a spare holder and only uses one fuse at a time. have you checked the wiring in/out of the starter button? are all connections tight? battery voltage is ok?

I checked continuity of the button all the way back to where it plugs into the back side of the solenoid. Everything is good. Battery have voltage. Im thinking either the solenoid is bad or the park switch is bad.

Another problem...with the key on, I have the display backlight only. When I turn the head light switch to low beam the mileage etc shows up and a few of the gear indicator lights work. Reverse, and high indicators work, not the others. All goes blank except the backlight when I switch the headlights to high beam and off positions.

I guess I'll work on one thing at a time...getting the start button to work.

No the button still does not work while trying to start in Neutral. Even with the brake pressed.

How do I check the solenoid?
