I have a 2006 Yamaha Kodiak 400 ultramatic, it was running fine when i rode it about a week ago, but i cranked it up yesterday and waited for it to idle down so i could put it in forward i have had a couple of times before where it would sound like the gears were grinding if i tried to shift before it was idling right, but after i waited for it to idle down to put it in forward i got about 50 feet and it popped out of gear..I havent tried anything since because i do not want to mess anything else up. Does anyone know what it could be? I have asked a couple of people and they have said Oh its probably the transmission it wouldnt be worth it to fix it you should just sell it for parts, but i do not want to get rid of it if its not to expensive to fix..
