Default 2009 grizzly wet clutch???

I have an 09 grizzly and my brother inlaw has an 11 grizzly. We have same tires and same mods tip and filter. Only difference is miles. Mine has 3000 his 900. When I ride his I can lift the front tires right up. On mine it seems I can't. Tires are spinning cuz I'm throwing stuff everywhere. I checked belt and primary clutch. Everything seems good. Question is could my wet clutch be starting to slip? Also I just bought it and previous owner said oil was just changed. If its not wet clutch friendly that could mess with it right?? I read that it would slip bad though. Seems it not slipping. Just feels like its not hooking up. Is there a way to test wet clutch besides tearing it apart

Any input be great thanks

One thing to look for in wet clutch wear is the rpms needed for clutch engagement and if it seems to need more rpms to hold speed. I don't know the life span of a wet clutch, but as long as you havent been plowing or pulling logs in high gear, it should last a long time.

I have grizzly with 5000 hard hard miles and I have a similar issue. To get into last gear the quad has to nearly redline, and shifting is slow. You may have reached the end of the line on your clutch.

what are the rear shocks set at? if your brother in-law isn't out performing you ( top end accel) and is just able to bring the front up easier i'd look and see if his are firmer than yours as a softer suspension will absorb some of the energy transferred when you hit the throttle hard. Also check your belt for wear. 3000 miles on a stock belt assuming its never been replaced ( i just bought an '06 kodiak 450 with 7500 on the factory belt) yours could be a little thinner than it should be a service manual will tell you the usable belt width and when it should be replaced. A belt worn beyond its usable width will also give that slipping or hesitant feel. You can also do the shim mod while you are in the belt housing to get a lil more pop out of your beast.
