Default Big Bear 96 350 Restoration Project...lady style

Okay, I guess this is the only place I can start a thread asking about my project. My brother gave it to me and I want to restore it to a feminine, more or less bug out vehicle for me.
Here is what I know for starters.
I need a key? Can it be obtained?
It needs a brake cable for back break? How to do this.
Okay and the thingy-ma-jiggy that shows miles, reverse, hot is busted. How important is that and can it be replaced?
Okay that is what I know for now.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

this may be one of those times where ebay is your friend. you can find a new or used ignition switch with keys the cluster and "dummy" indicator lights and you may luck up and find fenders in decent shape. there're several salvage bike companies on there that part out bikes so used parts come and go on there so check frequently. i dont think id try to paint the fenders because you run the risk of it wrinkling the paint causing it to peel if the plastic bends hence the white stress cracks commonly seen on the fenders. but good luck with your project and be patient cause its gonna make you want to pull your hair out at times.
