Default cluch kit

hey all just picked up a 2012 grizzly 550, the stock wheels are weak so i want to throw some lugs on them. the trails by my house are brutal. i dont want to loose any low end torque i can already feel a little bit of belt slippage climing out of a steep hole. i looked around on forums and am confused on shimming and springs. what would you guys recommend. thanks stu,

What size tires are you looking at? I put 26x11 rears and 26X9 fronts Maxxis Zillas with tall 1.3" lugs 6ply and my 350 turns them with zero power loss.
Zillas are the lightest mud tires made though. http://www.mud-throwers.com/inc/sdetail/6590/12045 if you compare them to the rest.

Climbing out of steep holes should be done in low range. Impossible to slip a belt while in low I find.

Not sure on the tire I want a big lug maybe the silverbacks. I really want a kit that gives a lot more low end power, I have know interest in driving on the road. 95% of my driving is mud bogging. I've heard of ppl shiming the clutch and swaping springs for a different power band

This sounds like what you want, you may lose a bit of top end but not a lot. High Lifter Products - Outlaw Clutch Kit for Yamaha 550 Grizzly (09-11)
