Hey guys,

The at will not go into reverse gear. The low wheel gear was seized, so I replaced it after pulling the casings apart. It goes into every other gear fine and runs great but will not go into reverse. There is no gear grinding when shifting to reverse. The light comes on but no movement. Any ideas.

 

Could it be something electrical? My 350 Big Bear would not go into reverse, turn out the wire on the foot brake lever fell off , once I reconnected it the sensor allowed the release to work once again.

I hate that safety feature on ATVs where the brake lever is involved in the reverse process.

 

I don't think so. It doesn't make any noise when shifting between the gears either. The safety switch is working I believe because the shift lever will go into reverse. I hope I don't have to pull the motor again.
