I HAVE JUST INHERITED A 1988 YAM: BLASTER FROM A FRIEND WHO MOVED TO THE BIG CITY AND DECIDED THAT HIS NEW NIEGHBORS WOULDN'T LIKE THE SOUND OF 2 STROKES BLARING DOWN THE QUIET STREETS OF THE NIEGHBORHOOD.
IT IS IN NEED OF A COMPLETE TOP END REBUILD. I THINK THE INJECTION PART QUIT WORKING AND CAUSED THE TOP END TO SIEZE.
THE QUESTION I HAVE IS I WANT TO GET RID OF THE OIL INJECTION AND DO NOT HAVE A CLUE ON WHAT TO DO?
IS THERE A KIT TO BUY OR DO YOU JUST CAP OFF THE LINES FROM THE TOP OF THE ENGINE AND PLUG THE FITTING ON THE CARB OR IS THERE SOME INTERNAL MOD TO DO . HOPE TO GET IT GOING IN THE NEXT WEEK OR SO .
IT HAS BEEN BORED 60 OVER AND HAD A MILD PORT JOB.
ANY INPUT OR TIPS WOULD BE GRACIOUSLY APPERICATED.

THANKS ,
VIC

You'll have to take the clutch cover off to completley remove it. Try doing a search on here.
