Default 1997 Yamaha Timberwolf 250 4x4

Hey guys. I am new here and was hoping to get some advice. I am eyeing a 97 Yamaha Timberwolf 250 4x4 and was wondering if there are specific things I should be looking at. I feel I am getting a decent deal on it, but I know very little about these machines to know for sure. He is currently asking $1,500 for the quad.

From what I have been told everything works perfectly on it. The only thing I will need to replace is one of the front brake lines.

I was hoping someone could help me a little. Any information on these machines. Maybe some things I should be looking out for. Or maybe I should stay away all together.

Thanks in advance.

Never heard of a unreliable Yamaha.

I tried to kill my 1989 Big Bear and gave up ,now my friend bought it 6 years ago and is still riding it around.

Your basically looking at a 4wd version of a 250 Moto4 so it should not have any inhered problems.

Thanks for the reply. I went with a different quad, but appreciate the information.
