muddy,
Well you better be careful, you might break your neck with all that mudslinging. And when you haul firewood be careful that fire wood might fall off and land on you. Oh that right if youve taken a coarse on atving it wont happen. because you know what your doing and your careful! What I'm getting at is you can get hurt doing anything, THINGS JUST HAPPEN sometimes.

It is absolutely amazing how ridiculous and "young" some of y'all sound. For starters... an accident is when a tire blows, or your breaks fail. What most of these people are talking about are WRECKS... damage or injury caused by stupidity, ignorance, or other HUMAN error. Common sense and awareness prevents those. I do a combination of ALL types of riding and enjoy a slow trail ride as much as running a MX track as hard as I can. It all depends on the mood. I have 4 wheeled in one way or another since '85 and have NEVER had more than a half inch cut over my eye, and that was do to truck problems (something in the steering died as we rounded a corner in the mountains of VA and we rolled (twice) a little ways down the hill. Classes are great cause they give you little pointers that you probably wouldn't have thought of otherwise, but the most important thing is common sense which is something I wish there was a class for cause it sure seems like 2fast and No2StrokeBs could sure use one!!!

WoodWarrior,
thank you and some others for your common sense response's.Its very difficult trying to get some kids to understand responsable use of ATVs.Its obvious,no matter what ANY of us say in here, some of them will just not get the point. They turn to sarcasim[''better be careful, you might break your neck mud slinging''] to justify their points. We can only give sound advice,it is up to others if they choose to use it?

Woodwarrior,
It is absolutely amazing how ridiculous You are. Do you think the guy doing the wheelie was planing on hitting the two of his buddies? It was an accident, A-C-C-I-D-E-N-T whether he made a wrong decision. For your info. I'm 29 and not the young person your buddy refered to. And when you have an accident some people call that a wreak too, duh. About your truck, I suppose if you spent more time making sure it was in running order instead of running that flap you call a mouth you might not had a wreak/accident or was you not using common sence or awareness, you of all people should known something was wrong. This topic started out as just a warning as to what can happen if you goof around too much. Now you and Mr. mud buddy have turn it all around and are just trying to act like Mom & Dad. Well we dont need that. The guys was just sharing something that happen to him and his buddy. You are your friend are the type of people that stand around critcizing everybody for what they do. But if you do it or have done something similar you make up some dumba** excuse why it was alright for it to have happen to you but not anybody else.

Muddy4life,
As for you and your common sence, what a joke. Ok, picture this a person with common sence that take's his big ol' 4 wheeler into mud and try's to get it out. Oh yeah I see the common sence in that. lol. As for advise, I sure wouldn't take it from someone who gets on a forum and talks someone down for sharing something that happen to them. Thats like someone getting on here and saying someone they knew died, and some jerk says well they sould have lived better and used common sence. And sound advice, what advice did you display was it when you where being a hard a** telling everyone how to be safe? I do use sarcasim to try and show someone how dumb they sound. I also have a wish, I wish there was classes for jerks like you two also. Yeah little pointers that you probably wouldn't have thought of otherwise hum..... I guess the two of you have been (jerks ) the way you for so long you cant see it for yourself. So I'm here to tell you from the outside that you are, and your loves ones proably think the same thing. They just don't want to hurt your little feelings. Well meet reality and think about your own faults for a while.

Thank you very much 2FAST,
Like he said, I didnt start this topic to argue about ATV saftey courses, nor did I want to debate the opinion of weather riding on paved surfaces is a good idea or not. I was simply stating what happened,I didnt ask for sympathy and I sure as hell didnt ask for someone to play God and try to tell me what I can and cant do with MY quad. It is a matter of opinion weather it is safe to ride on paved surfaces or not. I dont care for MX riding or trail riding, but if someone likes that form of riding then more power to them, but am I morally wrong because I like to drag race my quad? I dont think so. When quads were invented they were not "intended" to be raced on the MX curcit, but someone had the ba11s to try something different and now people assume they are made for that and nothing else, who knows, racing quads on paved surfaces may turn out to be as popular as trail riding. It is because of people like some of you that cause rediculeous laws to be enacted in the first place, yeah ATV accidents may cause manditory saftey clases and the banning of 3-wheelers, but who are you to tell someone how he sould ride. Do you think Al gore has ever ridden a quad on a regular basis?no, but he sure as hell has opinions on how they should be ridden.People need to keep thier personal opinons to themselves. And who are you to criticze someone for making a foolish mistake. Yeah, im sure that you are so high and mighty on your quad with all your saftey morals and Holier than thou attitude about other riders. Are you saying that you have never made a wreckless mistake in your whole life ever? I didnt think so,so what gives you the right to critique someone else on what they want to do with thier life. I didnt come to yall stressing that racing on the street is so great and so safe, nor did I attempt to dog you out for riding so politically correct.Look back at the first post and I dont think you will find anything other than a story that I tried to share with those on this forum.

2fast,
you have a LOT of growing up to do.29 yrs old and knows everything about anything?

You accuse myself and WoodWarrior of acting like the ''MOMS and DADS''of this Forum. You even said I stand around and critized people for the things they do.Hardly! You cant read ONE sentenance in this forum where I critized ANYONE.You also INCORRECTLY said that I talked someone down for sharing something that happened to them.Once again, you cant show that either!I DISCUSSED SAFE and RESPONSABLE ATV use!HUGE DIFFERANCE HEY?BTW,did you graduate from elementary school?Im asking for a good reason, because you mis-quote things alot.My bet is you are a pre kindergarten STORY teller! You seem very agitated, perhaps the kiddies are starting to get to you.A move up to 1st grade maybe?

If being a ASI safety instructor and attempting to give sound advice on the SAFE and RESPONSABLE use of ATVs is being an a$$ [thats what you called me]than I know where YOUR priorities are.Its attitudes just like yours that set more harsher rules on ATVs and CLOSE down riding areas.I hope your riding area is not the next one to get closed down.

JERKS?
you have your nerve to call me a jerk.Re-read this entire forum, the REAL jerk has not got many riders [1] in this Forum to side with him.Perhaps thats the real reason he attempts to hide his shortcomings by using sarcasm.

As for my loved ones thinking im a jerk?Good try.I did not stay married for 22yrs[same women,1st marriage] and raise a 20yr old son and 14yr old daughter by being a jerk.It takes very little work to be a jerk, your living proof of that. Now go do the right thing and write something WORTH reading,
Bill

That idiot deserved what he got, and more. You stupid kids are dangerous enough on dirt, yet you jackasses go on public paved roads, and start your showboating. This is a recipe for disaster from the git go. I'm glad you idiot jackasses don't live near me. I bet you ignorant SOBs were back at it the next day, as well.

2fast!Its exactly what I expected,an immature response from an immature indivdule.

I also am done debating safety issues with someone who seems to care less about ATV safety. Some day in the future, you will look up this post again, and you will see that it is YOU who is being arrogant and come to realize your faults.[Name calling, mis quotes, just to name a few]

As for no one wanting to read my posts?I have MORE posts than anyone in these forums,I did'nt get that way because no one wants to read what I have to say.

In ending,
I hope your ATV future brings you and your loved ones great adventures and many happy/safe memories.Best of luck,

You are damn right we were back at it the very next day. We are not a bunch of whineing pu$$ise like you are. And to say that my friend deserved to get hurt is way out of line. I never once said that what he did was smart.you are the same f*aggot tht keeps talking **** like you are a god, what makes you think you ahve the right to tell me what i can and cant do on my s*it.Point is: If I feel like robing a bank, while riding a wheelie on paved raod with no helmet on while drunk, then Im going to do it.And i could give a f*ck less what you and your p*ussie a$$ friends have to say about it. Are you a old man or a old woman? Everytime you guys post a topic about Polaris bikes I could rag you out because you actually went out and spent money on a known piece of s*it, but I dont. All I did was post a topic stating that a friend of mine had a accident, I didnt once ask for your sympathy, and I didnt say that what he did was smart. I dont really mind you calling my friend stupid, but saying that you are glad that he got hurt is nothing more than s*it talking that you Polaris gus are all to good at, and just like your quads you usually cant back your big a** mouth up when I finally have the honor of racing a Polaris.
