I would think just looking at the numbers, that the Kodiak 700 is the best bang for the buck. I would also think you can still get a 500L, the 570L is a brand new 2016 model. Dealers will still have 500L models in stock. With the 500L being replaced by the 570L, you might be able to get a substantial discount on remaining inventory of 500L models. I've even seen a dealer relatively close to me that still has one Sportsman 500 in stock and 2013 was the last year Polaris made that. So just because a manfacturer introduces a new model, don't assume that you can't still get the old model.
