Hey all use to working on my older Polaris but a friend brought me this 04 raptor 350 he just said it doesn't start .. So I tryed starting it no start cranks great .. Getting fuel and good spark.. OK so carb I figured he had a new needle/seat .. Cleaned carb checked and cleaned jets etc float look well set .. Back into bike tryed to start massive fuel smell .. Turned fuel down .. Went to start massive backfire... That's basically where I'm at I did remove carb and clean again checked carb boot .. Any ideas? Thanks

 

I had a Suzuki 700 that would do nothing but give massive backfires, turned out to be the cam had slipped round on it's gear, took some finding as the main timing marks were on the gear, so it looked like it was timed right when I lined the marks up on TDC.
