Warn winch doesn't work

This is just a shot in the dark but check.
1. Make sure the wire kit is for the right warn/atv setup. There is a difference in the 2000/2500 as well as the ATV you are using.
2. Have the setup (wire) rechecked, you may be able to fix, but have dealer look again.
3. If installed incorrectly, warn can fry the entire electrical system.
4. I didn't get the 30 minutes stuff, but it doesn't sound like a wet thing, more of a amperage thing to make it work. Hey soak it and see what happens, but do the first 2 things first, you don't want to fry.

My brother-in-law had the same problem with his Warn 2500. In the end he had to send it back to Warn for warranty repair. I believe it was in the solenoids seals. Water was getting into them and it wouldn't work. He heard from his dealer that Warn had trouble with a run of winches that all had this problem. His new one works great no matter how wet/muddy it gets.

Thanks for the replies. Will spray my connections and check with the dealer for a recall. I sometime run in heavy mud here in Nova Scotia and getting stuck is part of the fun...as long as one has a winch that works. Thinking now I might have been better off getting the much CHEAPER superwinch.
