You ride a Raptor. Isn't that the fastest factory quad? No I don't go 70-75 mph. I am riding a warrior right now that I just bought. It's bone stock, till this weekend. I'm waiting for honda to come out with a BIG bore 4 stroke with reverse. I'll compare that to the raptor and make my desicion then. I ride a dirt bike also, and I do hit top speed on it, when I ride it. Why do you put me down and not believe me when you have no idea where I ride, what i ride, who I am, and what I do. Yes I have ridden 75-80 mph in the woods on a banshee. Yes I have hit an oak tree but the cherry ones hurt the most. I have hit them when doing 55 mph. I've been hurt but pain is only an illusion of the mind. I do ride this way. I have been put in a psych ward a month ago because I am crazy, or at least the doctors say this. I do ride like a nut, for I am one. Don't put me or others down when you know nothing about us or how we ride. I'm sorry that I'm coming off as a 2 year old here but I had to get my point acrossed, just like everyone else. I get tired of all the RAPTOR questions and posts for the same product or subject. That is what makes me mad. Again, sorry for being a childish person in this convo.

I don't like bragging about top speeds, but if there is one thing I have to hate is having to check if I am really wide open because there's someone in front going away from away!
OK. I reach top speed about every ride, but that's usually a 30 seconds (maybe less) run. Except this time where we went flat out for some miles (really).
I do care. I have to have the fastest quad in the gang, I really can't say why...but I wouldn't enjoy it as much as I do now if I had to fight the bike to keep up. Now, I'm into tourism rides, and I'm in front...that's the way I like it (mainly because when something breaks, they can't miss me )
Conclusion : I do care, but I don't talk about it...or try not to brag too much.

Hey Zorro. Reality check! You are a "top speed" maniac!! You did have the fastest quad in the group last year...this year we will see. The funny thing is that when we(you and me) mod our quads every couple months, we only get a couple M.P.H. more each time and, like you said, we only drag race for 30 seconds each ride! It is fun though. We both get our certain bragging rights each time. Who beat who in what now???

Top speed and H.P. are really just our male egos going at it. Now come back over to my place and wash my quads again! hehe...

P.S. Zorro---> You riding up front is good with me. It's not really a speed thing. I like following, that way I don't miss any action when someone up front gets stuck or wipes out!
You know who I am talking about...

Though I very rarely drive much above 25-30mph,I do care about my top end speed. For some reason [male ego?] I have to have the fastest utility 4x4 in our group, and I do.

I think its like rutting season for Bucks during season.Just one look/listen at my Xplorer brings on a type of curiosity/excitement to the other 4x4 utility ATV riders, its a GREAT feeling.
