My buddy just got a 92 Blaster 3 weeks ago and last week his dad ran the heck out of it and threw the rod through the case, broke the crank, and demolished the piston and sleeve. Instead of trying to patch the case back together he wants to try to find a used Blaster motor. I'm trying to find him one but so far the cheapest one was $1000 from east coast atv and that's $300 more than he paid for the whole quad. Does anyone know of any place that sells used Blaster motors cheaper than $1000 or does anyone here on the board have one for sale in the Virginia area. All help is appreciated.

 

Now's his chance to shoe-horn a GSX1100 motor in it. Now that would be a scary ride! No, really have you checked your local shops or salvage yards yet? That's where I would start. You might find one on eBay too.
