Default Fuel Issue

Hey fellas, Old 2001 wolverine YFM 350, carburetor is aftermarket and new.( paid about 130 bux for it on amazon. Bike fired up right away, can't seem to get the idle steady and after a minute gas would start pouring out of the air filter and the bottom float. can anyone point me in the right direction to go this is a brand new carb- Also curious to know where the vent lines need to go and if they all need to be hooked up. Never put the fuel filter in that came with the carb also. Rep points for any replies!

From your description is sounds like the needle valve is stuck open and flooding the carb. Might try cleaning it out with some carb cleaner. If it is new you might want to send it back!! As far as the filter, yes always replace them when you can, one never knows when he is getting bad or poor fuel from anywhere. Filters can only help, never hurt! Gotta get the leaking carb fixed before you can proceed to anything else..
