Default New Carburetor

I have a Yamaha Bear Tracker 250 not sure on the year. But anyway me and my friend were working on it and bought a new carburetor and we put it on last night. we got it to run and set the idle. Towards the end of the night it stopped running. When I go to start it it won't even take any gas anymore. also it would die if I pulled the throttle in to much. Does anyone have any ideas?

Sometimes if you have a cheap inline filter they will air lock on you either open the screw on the bottom of the bowl and see if you have a stream that comes out or if you don't have a inline filter you probably have crap in your tank and its clogged the jet

Thank you for the support I actually just seen where the joint to the carburetor is cracked so the air wasn’t being pulled in from the carburetor so that’s why it wouldn’t click over. And the filter on the gas take was surprisingly the first thing I changed.
