Hey guys so my buddy was out riding his blaster today for the first time after a fresh oil change ran great for a few rides then it wouldn't go into 5th or 6th gear. When running it sounds kinda clunky and all the gears work until you go into 5th and it revs up like you missed a gear? What could that be? The motor only has 2or 3 hours on full rebuild and the clutch basket looked perfect when reinstalling.

 

If it seems like the clutch is slipping in 5th and 6th, it probably is. Did you use oil suitable for wet clutches? However if you are getting neutrals instead of gears when you change into them, either selectors bent/broken/loose or gears stripped. Probably due to something left loose during the rebuild or something left inside the case by mistake.
