Default 2004 big bear 400 question

hey everyone, I’m looking to purchase a 2004 big bear 400. I’m brand new to atv’s and wanted to know if this is a reliable machine or not? It has 750 miles. I’ve been told to be wary of the 4x4 system. Any advice is greatly appreciated

The Big Bear is a good, solid, reliable bike. All electric 4WD systems have their problems, and Yamaha's insistence on you buying the whole gearbox and motor assembly if the 4WD motor fails, makes it expensive to repair, unless you go to a specialist like Yamaha Servo Replacement Motors ? 501 Parts.com Yamaha 4wd System Parts and Repair Make sure the rear axle bearings are sound, as worn bearings cause worn axle splines, an even more expensive part to replace, but at 750 miles, the bike should be "like new"
