Has anyone tried the CT airbox for the Raptor, www.ctracing.com/raptor1.htm. The feature that I like is that it uses Honda TRX 250R air filters which are round and attach with regular hose clamps. That should eliminate all the problems that the oval filters have in getting a good seal with the flange. You can get K&N or Dura Blue foam filters.

I would like to hear about the increase in noise to the rider when riding your Raptor without the airbox lid. I did Airbox mods on my Scrambler, and the increase in noise from the intake was so great that I couldn't live with it. I have also ridden with a friend who removed the airbox from his Honda 4 stroke dirt bike, and the intake noise was twice as loud as his stock exhaust. Has anyone here experienced this with the Raptor?

Thanks,
Lorrin Lee

I've been looking at the Sparks air box for the Raptor. The airbox is much larger and the UNI filter is HUGE. The filter is also strapped on for no fear of sucking contaminants into the motor. Looks to be a very good set-up and designed for the Raptor.

I was one of the people that was having trouble with the first Pro Design oval type filter for the Raptor. They replaced it with an improved oval shape and I have had no problems with it since. I am very happy with it now.

Please tell me where you got your airbox. I was thinking about running with the lid off and making an outerwear cover. I did not know they made a velcro cover. How much was it and can you get a K&N filter with it?

Hi Maynard

I got my p/d filter a week ago and the adaptor has 2 round flanges and the filter has 2 round barrels that slide over the flanges. It uses 2 clamps to secure the filter to the flanges.
