Kodiak 450 need help

Default Kodiak 450 need help

I'm looking to get more out of my Kodiak 450 like in throttle response /more power. Need some help

Its all in making it breathe port and polish the head stiffer valve springs. cam and if your rebuilding it put a higher compression piston in it. Like a Wiseco 10.25-1 or higher. Just remember you get compression above 11 youll need to run higher octane gas.

Yes I'm looking to rebuild I'm trying to build a mud /trail atv I can't find I comp Cam or valve springs

Do some research on the oem parts list. see what parts on the head interchange you might get lucky and find raptor head or parts interchange and you can use an entirely different head. You can put a warrior head on a big beat 350 but its not the same the porting is different for better air flow. When I rebuild big bears I always put 10.25-1 piston and a warrior head on Gives it some good bottom end and will also handle the accelerator pump from a warrior carb.
