Default 1999 350 Big Bear Swing Arm pivot bolts issue

Hey so I recently took apart my swing arm to replace the dust boot and i got it all back together fine (long process but it went okay) now i have done some riding since then and I noticed my swing arm doesn't have the proper spacing because of the pivot bolts. I actually lost a pivot shaft nut on my ride so my question is how do I properly install these pivot shafts?

Assemble as shown in the drawing liked to above. With everything in loose, tighten pivot bolt 6 fully. then screw pivot bolt 7 down until there is just no side to side play in the swinging arm do not over-tighten. Then tighten locknut 8 hard down and refit the bungs 9.
