I am wondering if anyone has seen, heard, or tried a rear suspension swap on a Blaster. Like using a Warrior, Banshee, or any other atv shock that will fit with minor modifications and help provide even a little bit nicer ride. That Blaster rear shock is the worst designed shock for that machine or anything you put it on. I am interested in trying something different because I am not rich nor a racer so I can't see shelling out $500+ for a shock. There has got to be a hand-yman's way of doing this. Thanks!

I have never tried swapping the rear....It's not the design that is the problem with the blaster...It's the lack of adjustability....And you cannot rebuild it.

I have front(stock) banshee shocks that will bolt right up to the blaster. We tried it on one. It helps a bit.

The reason why I say bad design is because, the shock design like you say is a non-rebuildable shock and the spring is a dual rate spring that is way retarded for a Blaster. I can't remember the specs exactly but they were something rediculous like....the first inch was 80lbs. and after that it's 400lbs. which gives you very minimal travel.

The rear shock from a warrior or a banshee will not work due to the linkage on those machines. On my tt machine I have a banshee shock and it lowers the back down almost 4 inches.I heard that Baldwin motorsports in Astabula,Ohio will rebuild a blaster shock and put a resevior and different spring on it for I think about $350. However you can get a new Works for a little more than that.
