Good evening all.
i have an issue with my big bear 350 I just cleaned the carb but fuel just pouring out of the flow tube. I’m waiting on a new one as the needle is seized. But have been able to use it until yesterday. 2. My mechanic put Castro’s 10w40 motor oil is this ok or should I drain and get the atv 10w40 .

Check the Castrol specifications, to see if it is "suitable for motorcycles" if it is, you are OK. Never known a float needle seize. The tiny spring inside gets weak, the sides get a shoulder on that catches and makes them stick open, but mostly a bit of dirt from the tank gets stuck between needle and seat, and all they need is the dirt removing. Usually turning the tap off, and running the engine until it stalls, then turning the tap on again, will flush the dirt out. If that doesn't work a strip and cleaning the seat may, also gives a chance to check that .the tiny plunger in the needle is bobbing up and down.
