Default Carb adjustments

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum and wanted to pick your guys brains. I have a 04 Yamaha wolverine 350 and I just put a K&N filter and HMF slip-on exhaust on it. I'm running stock everything except the main jet which is a 150. The problem is it seems to sputter and stall at high speed. It rips through the first 3 gears and sputters and stalls in 4 and 5. I noticed a little sputter in the idle too. Idles then sputter, then back to idle. Any thoughts?

When adding a free flow exhaust there are a number of adjustments required to the carb. I am sure you are lean if all else is good, but your specific carb set up should be provided by the exhaust mfgr. Most companies furnish carb setups for their exhaust systems.

Might not be for long, just because it seems to run good doesnt mean the engine is running right. Check spark plug color, should be brown to dark brown, if white or light gray, you are running lean that could lead to a burnt piston or valves. I would double check to be sure.
