Default 1989 Yamaha 225 Prohauler carb replacement

Hi, I need to replace the carb on my 1989 Yamaha 225 Pro Hauler, model YFU1W but I can't find a compatible match. The OEM part # 3JN-14101-01-00 is no longer available. I have spent hours on the internet searching, but nothing comes up. I don't care if the original choke cable doesn't hook up, or if it requires a manifold adapter. I just need a recommendation for a quality replacement that will fit. Thanks!

Take a look at other 250 Yam ATV carbs. Timberwoolf, Moto4, Bear Tracker, etc, on eBay. Yamaha didn't alter that engine much for all the years they made it, but kept fitting slightly different carbs. Worth getting one of those cheap Chinese copy carbs and trying it, if you can find one that looks like it would fit your manifold. Personally I prefer CDs they tend to give a smoother idle, but usually have round slide in fittings for the manifold, I think the pro-hauler had a flange fitting, and the throttle cable end would be different, easier to stick with a slide type carb.
