Default motor spins in reverse

SO WE HAVE THE NEW TO US 92 BLASTER
when kicking it spins CCW and the arrow on the flywheel points that direction
we can start it but it spins backwards once it starts " filmed with cellphone in super slow motion to verify
we have amazon kit to replace all electronics since we didn't have most of them
again it runs but backwards
we eyeballed the stator plate clocking when we installed it the old one had the wires cut
it was near center of the track the screw can glide
I went full CCW to retard timing
same result then full advance same issue
please send ideas
update idea from another forum was to use die grinder and make the timing adjusting slots longer I can only go clockwise on the stator to increase the retard amount
I'm checking the old stator what's left of it and the new one once I remove in the morning to see if the wires are on the correct locations

I don't know the Blaster at all but most ATVs have a trigger coil outside the flywheel for spark timing, it is this that must be in the wrong place, question is why? CDI also has an effect, as the advance retard curve is set by it's electronics. Could be an idea to check the spark timing with a strobe, to see just where it fires in relation to the TDC mark on flywheel.
