Ok,I've got to ask this again. What is the "average" temp of the wolverine oil...Mine today was WAY over 220[it pegged my thermometer],It was real hot today for NY (almost 90)but 220 seems a little excessive to me(WAY?)I would think that the motor can't take that kind of heat...some one Pu'lese give me thier opinion on this..Im ready to go get an oil cooler from a wrecked Honda 750,but I dont want to get radicle with the Quad if I dont have to. I swear will never get another machine that does not have liquid cooling!

Im pretty sure rings melt around 750.f. 220.f. isnt that hot, Im sure its fine? Mabe try to find/make an oil-cooler set up if you are conserned about it running too hot. When it starts glowing red, then its hot.

I'd try to take the one off the honda you were talking about, if you did it successfully Im sure a bunch of people here would be very interested in doing it to their wheelers.. anyways just a thought...

About the 700+.f. Im not exactly sure but for some reason that number is stuck in my head, to be on the safe side I'd say dont run it over 450.f. if you can help it, probally be hard to actually get it that hot anyways??
