Default Moto 4 Carb Replacement Quality

Looking to get a carburetor that isn't trash for my 89-91 250. Had a KIPA on here when I got it, and the orifice for the pilot air screw crumbled when I adjusted it. I don't have a couple hundred for a Mikuni. The internet is not very clear on pre '99 250 carbs, and the KIPA that was on here claims to only be for the 225.

Wheeler ran ok with the KIPA, but not great, even with everything clean and valves adjusted. If the KIPA is a decent budget option, with larger (correct for 250cc) jets available, I wouldn't hesitate to get another

Thanks in advance!

I suspect whoever you get it from, all the non genuine carbs for " 1998 250 Yamaha ATV's" will come from the same factory in China. I have had problems with Chinese carbs on Yams, had a Breeze that I never could get right, which had a suspiciously new looking Chinese carb on it when I got the bike. A large W was cast onto carb and, when I checked eBay, all the "carbs for Yamaha Breeze" had the same W.
