97 Big Bear 350 losing spark after warm

Default 97 Big Bear 350 losing spark after warm

97 loses spark after it warms up and wont crack back after turned off.....but when I unplug the 3 white wire connector, it cranks immediately off the battery...plug it back in,no spark....bad stator pick up, cdi?Any way to do some testing?...this is my first Big bear , thanks in advance

Trace where those three white wires come from and go to. That may give a clue. Usual suspect for ignition problems when hot is the pickup coil, and this can be tested by checking if the resistance changes when hot and if the voltage (AC) produced by it drops when hot. Similar tests can be done on the power coil. Some Yams about then had weird stators though, this only applies to those with the normal CDI ignition system.
