Went to Little Sahara in Utah today and my brother and I raced a Cannondale up Sand Mountain on the valley side.An extremely long hill where it takes a lot of horsepower and rpm to climb.Our raptors are geared lower with DMC and Graydon pipes with the typical airbox mods.All three were running Skat Trak eight paddle tires.All three of us were even at the bottom but when it came time to downshift the Cannondale just kept on motoring away.By the time we got to the top the Cannondale was a good 75 to 100 ft. ahead.I was amazed how well the Cannondale runs especially with a 230cc. disadvantage.Very impressed!!! I weigh about 225lbs. and my brother weighs 180lbs.The rider on the Cannondale weighed 170lbs.My brother and I were neck and neck all the way up.

Nothing personal, but if somethings faster, it's faster. No big deal. Have fun with what you've got and don't make excuses every time something comes along a little faster - because something ALWAYS will.

They're not made to run on pavement, but if it will beat him going uphill what makes you think it wouldn't beat it on flat ground or pavement? Horsepower is the same whether you're going up hill down hill or sideways. I agree with BoP Yeah, but....

I've beaten Raptors on my LT500 by about the distance you say you were beat by the Cannondale. This makes me think that the Cannondale may indeed beat my 500. Did you see the Cannon race any LT500s? I have been considering trading up my 500 for a Cannondale and am curious if there have been any races that anyone has seen. It amazes me that he beat you because it sounds like you have a stout machine.

By the way, I think Raptors are great. 400EXs, Banshees, DS650s--whatever. Quad-racism is dumb. These forums are full of people who think that everyone else's quad is a hunk of junk. Just my rant, sorry.

I did not see an LT500 race a Cannondale up the hill yet.I would suspect a Quadzilla could take a Cannondale but that's what i thought with my raptor also.I am not a hillshooter so i don't get over to the hill very often.I wouldn't have believed it until I raced him. Like i said i'm very impressed with the way the Cannon runs!!
