Hello, I just got a 2001 Yamaha Warrior. So I wanted to see if any of you guys had any ideas for mods. I have already put the K&N filter on it. I was thinking about getting it jetted and having an FMF pipe put on it. Will the FMF make it a LOT louder? Because I dont want to upset people any more than I already do..

I like my warrior alot, why do some guys on this board bash it?? IMO, it's the best ATV for trails and just having fun..

People do bash the heck out of the warrior, but it really is a great quad. They are extremely reliable, nice features for the money (nothing like reverse and electric start), and easy to ride. For some of the big guys or racers the quads under powered, but for every day trail riding they can't be beat.

4 strokes generally don't gain much power from a pipe, but they do get some. It's a big invest for a small return, mostly what your going to get is a lot of noise.

 

Well, I can't answer your question as my Warrior is bone stock. Great machine by the way, never once has it givven me any trouble.

The main thing I wanted to say is that I'm glad to see you concerned about noise level. I wish more people were that way; we'd probably have a better public image and more riding places.

I also just bought a 2001 warrior and i love it all though i just wrecked it last sunday which really sucks. But i didnt tear it up to bad. I have been told that the FmF megamax is the best pipe for the warrior but i dont no.
