Which 660 Yamaha 4X4 would that be? The one in the supposed spy photos or do you know something that the dealers don't? We have a Yamaha dealership here that is partially owned by Yamaha is called a "Yamaha Pilot Store" They say that the 66o 4X4 is very wishful thinking, at least for this year. But you're probably correct the imaginary Yamaha will beat the for real Kawasaki.

C'mon SykoQuadRider, that's pretty immature calling someone an idiot just because you don't like their post. I don't think that someone who wonders about possibilities in hypothetical situations is an idiot.... however, someone who tries to judge another's intelligence by a single comment they made or a simple question they asked.... well, that seems a little more idiotic to me.
Myself, I really have to admit that I don't think we know enough about the new yammy yet to make a comparison, but it is interesting to wonder about.

I dont feel like he's an idiot either and should not be called one.But it is a little strange [making comparisons] to a 4x4 quad that does'nt exist yet.Im thinking I can whip the new Kawi 4x4 with my new mods on the 00 Xplorer though.

00 Xplorer 400cc 4x4
Modified PSI pipe w/Scrambler silencer
Delta V-force reeds w/spacer kit
26 inch Mudrunners
RcR airbox mods
Hot Seat clutch kit
KN and Unifilters
Custom cargo box ect ect ect

Chances are you're comparing apples and oranges. Dirt Wheels and ATV Action both reported that Yamaha says they have started development of a V-twin to be a direct competitor to the Prairie. The 660 quad is more than likely going to be more sport oriented. Kind of on the lines of their current, I believe it is Wolverine. Besides the 660 powerplant would never be up to the task of the 650 V-twin in utility form. It simply would not have the torque or over all power curve. Yes it may be able to have a higher peak horse power rating, but I'm talking useable power.
