I just bought my son a '99 Blaster. It's really fairly well tricked out. ITP rims and holeshots, FMF pipe and silencer,D&G brush guard,Nerfs,CEET Grafics,Carb is jetted and has a K&N filter...we bought this for $2100. Good deal or stiffed?...oh and its very clean.spotless....I almost suspect somethings up with this quad..I bought it from a dealer also..My first experience with a 2 stroke quad....what should we be looking for as far as maint goes....???any help well appreciated.thanks

Thats a pretty good deal, I would doubt there is anything wrong with it, they are very tough little machines, and being from a dealer even if there was anything wrong with it they'd probally fix it before they sold it? There really isnt much to them, I think if anything was messed up you'd probally know.

Keep it clean, dirt wears stuff out, if something needs to be replaced do it, make sure to change/check the fluids every now and then, do plug-chops to see how its running every once and a while, thats about it... If you keep it maintained it will last a very long time, I ride my blaster HARD and fast and havent had any problems yet... (I paid $1,500 for my blaster, I also thought mabe something was up with it, but just turned out the kid needed the money so I got a killer deal) it mabe had 50 miles on it.. still new.
