I'd go with yamalube (R-2 or 2-R cant remember the exact name), its somewhat cheap and it works, never heard a complaint..

Hey BlackIce,
I have run a couple of different oils in my YZ250 and the best oil i have used is Castor 927.It has that really sweet two stroke oil smell.I also have used yamalube which is alright and i have also used bellray. The castor 927 is kinda expensive but deffinately worth it.

Either Klotz Benoil, or Maxima 927... I have run both in my machine with good results. I would stay away from the yamalube... I have heard it doesn't burn quite as clean...

To be on the safe side, don't buy any oil from Wal-Mart or that type of store. There are several good 2 stroke oils that your local motorcycle shop may carry. Personally, I use Yamalube 2-R and can't complain. Stick with a name brand oil designed for PRE-MIX (some are for oil injected machines) and follow the gas/oil ratio guidelines and you'll be OK.
