Am I the only Raptor owner ...........

that has never had a problem with my machine ? I have owned my Raptor since September of last year, and I have had none of the following, bent A-arms, 2nd gear tranny problems, blown off carb boots, engine problems of any sort. I hear a lot of griping in here over a first year machine. What do you expect ? Everyone should know the potential for having some problems can be high for such a new machine. I think the Raptor is such a great machine regardless of what people say about it. It has a whack of power, great suspension and can kick *** on a lot of other machines. Am I saying it is the best ever, of course not. Do I like to ride ? That is the best part about owning an ATV. I could'nt care less who I ride with 400 EX, 250 R, Bombs, Zukis, you name it. It is about hanging out with friends doing what we love to do. What do you all think ?

I haven't had a single problem wth mine. I'm not going to say that the Raptor is faultless, it's obviously going through some growing pains. I don't know about you guys but I'm extremely **** about keeping up on the maintenance. The oil gets changed religiously even if that means I miss a ride to do it. I always change the filter with the oil (I've heard some say to only change the filter every other time). I adjust the clutch cable when necessary to keep the proper actuation. Grease fittings get attention about every 10 hours. I'm very easy on the reverse. I don't drop the clutch and over rev in reverse. I always come to a complete stop when going from reverse to forward and vice versa. I always give the bike a little cool down before shutting it off. I never ride on it hard and then when I'm tired just shut it down. I'll putt around in second gear for a minute or two and then turn it off.
My bike has been flawless so far. Will it remain that way forever? I don't know but I'm not going to say bad things until it happens. I really believe a lot of these problems with these bikes are related a lot more to the operator than they'd like to admit.

Mine has had more maintenance then it should require and still have had the tranny prolems, broken cables, leaking shock, carb boots poping off, and clutch fad prolems !! I do ride hard thou! But so does my neighbor and his has had hardly no matneice or problems! Didnt do the valves or oil till about 40-45 hours and still has only changed oil twice to my 4-5. So i guess we can throw that Proper maintenance theory out the window !!
